Xaphoon Jones – “The Jackson Pit” and “Lights” (Jackson Five, Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding)

So 1/2 of Chiddy Bang, Xaphoon Jones, dropped a mixtape a little bit ago. The tape is solid top to bottom, and if you are a big XJ fan you can snag it here. I thought it would be nice to pick a few favorites to give you guys the flavor of what this mixtape is all about. First off you’ve got a mashup of Passion Pit’s “Sleepyhead” with “I Want You Back”. Add in Xaphoon’s clap happy style and you have a super upbeat party jam. Then you’ve got his unique take on Ellie Goulding’s “Lights”. That one really gets a little crunchy around :40. Enjoy!
